Apple just dropped the second beta of iOS 26. This new version fixes a bunch of bugs and makes the system run more smoothly. But what about new features?
The first beta came out on June 9, with a revised build for iPhones 15 and 16 on June 13. Now, registered developers can get their hands on the latest beta. Apple will probably open up public testing in July, which is when we can expect to see iOS 26 in the public beta channel.
So, what’s new in iOS 26? For starters, it’s a big change from iOS 18. Apple’s decided to sync up the version numbers across all its platforms – that means iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, visionOS, and tvOS will all be on version 26. This new system introduces a fresh design language called “Liquid Glass,” which features glass-like separator bars and optional translucent icons.
iOS 26 also comes with some fancy light and color effects that distort and flow behind interface elements. There are plenty of other new features and improvements too. You can check out the official Apple summary for all the details.
As for what’s changed in the second beta, we’re still digging in. We’ll be highlighting the most important differences between beta 1 and beta 2 soon. In the meantime, if you spot anything new, shoot us an email at geral@Blaze Trends.com.
