Apple released what is the fifth major update to iOS 16 on Thursday. Called iOS 16.5, it is a more incremental update than the previous ones. But there are some novelties that you should take into account.
Spotlight stopped responding with the latest update and apparently the issue will be resolved in iOS 16.5. The same can be said for loading Podcast content in CarPlay, which no longer presents any problems.
On an aesthetic level, users can now count on the new screensaver from the Pride collection in 2023. This is dynamic and allows you to give your iPhone a new look from the first touch on the lock screen. Below you can check out all the improvements and bug fixes.
This update includes the following improvements and bug fixes
- A new Pride Celebration lock screen wallpaper honoring LGBTQ+ culture and community.
- Fixed an issue that could cause Spotlight to stop responding.
- Fixed an issue that could prevent Podcast content from loading in CarPlay.
- Fixed an issue that could cause Screen Time settings to reset or prevent Screen Time from syncing across devices
How to do the update? It’s pretty simple. Just go to your iPhone settings, choose the ‘General’ option and opt for “Software Update”. From there, just follow the steps.
For those who have a compatible Apple Watch, the watchOS 9.5 update is available, which can be done through the Apple Watch app on your iPhone. iPadOS 16.5 is also available in Settings for iPad owners.
