After more than ten years without major design revisions, Apple decided this year to completely redesign the iconic iMac all-in-one computer. The “gray” computer is now colored and much thinner.
What if Apple released a curved iMac? Through the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), Apple has filed a patent for what appears to be a curved iMac. And there have been those who have materialized these drawings in images.
The patent shows us a perfectly normal flat screen iMac. However, at its bottom, the device curves to integrate a keyboard and two touch-sensitive areas. In one of the versions, this part of the terminal is folded.

This patent had already been imagined by Yanko Design and shows us what a truly revolutionary iMac would be. Given the low thickness of the equipment, the central part of the rear would serve to house the different components.

Like any patent, we should consider these designs as an idea that Apple has for the future. It doesn’t mean that a curved iMac is in the Cupertino company’s closest plans.
In an area where the company has been so conservative, it seems hard to believe that a curved iMac is on the horizon. But it remains for the fans of the brand who have enjoyed this concept to dream of this reality.
