Apple reaches a new milestone in its history with more than two billion active devices

The financial results may not be the best, and even the sales leader, Apple, has suffered from the instability of the global economy.

But even so, the Cupertino company has reason to celebrate. It just hit a new milestone, surpassing two billion active devices worldwide.

Recently, the Cupertino company announced its financial results, referring to the first quarter of 2023. The news was not the best. The brand registered a fall of 5%, compared to the same quarter of the previous year.

But aside from this less-than-promising financial report, Apple has reason to celebrate. All because the Cupertino company already has more than two billion active devices around the world. As it should be, Apple proudly made this announcement, adding that its base continues to grow.

On the other hand, the company’s services area also reached a new revenue record of US$20.8 billion, which exceeds estimated forecasts of US$19.5 billion.

Making the direct currency conversion, Apple achieved, in services, a revenue of 18.960 million euros, instead of the estimated 17.770 million euros.

These revenues were achieved with 935 million paid subscriptions, and the company managed to increase its paid subscriptions by around 150 million compared to the previous year.

According to Tim Cook, Apple’s executive director, and Luca Maestri, the company’s chief financial officer, these results were achieved thanks to customer loyalty and also to the acquisition of new users, coming from rival brands such as Samsung.

Several smartphone manufacturers have noticed that sales in the premium segment are increasing. Now, considering that practically the entire series of iPhones falls into this segment, the company has been less affected than other brands that have a strong presence in the entry and mid-range segment, such as Xiaomi.
