After several rumors pointing to an Apple event for this October, lo and behold, the Cupertino-based technology confirms all suspicions. A few minutes ago a special event was officially announced that will take place next Monday, October 18.
As is customary for Apple events, this will take place at 6pm in Lisbon. Titled “Unleashed,” it can be viewed online at apple.com, the official YouTube channel, and Apple TV +.
New 14 “and 16” Inch MacBooks Expected at Apple’s Special Event
Once again, it will be a digital only event. And the great expectation of the fans of the cracked apple is that this is the event where the 16 ”and 14” MacBooks with Apple processor are finally presented.
By all appearances, the design update will include narrower screen borders and resolutions of 3024 by 1964 (14 “) and 3456 by 2234 (16”). But beyond the design, there are other key points in this equation.
First, the long-awaited M1X. This will be the new processor (system-on-chip) from Apple, and it promises to surprise in performance, after what has already brought positive to the M1. Not least, it should be supported by 32GB of RAM.
MagSafe, HDMI, and SD card ports may be back on the new MacBook
If the leaks are confirmed, these new MacBooks could be everything fans want overseas. In addition to the improved screens, everything indicates that we will have the return of the MagSafe port for magnetic charging. Rumors also point to the return of an HDMI port, an SD card port, and goodbye to the Touch Bar.
What we also hope to see at this event is a new version of the Mac Mini with this processor. The question remains whether this will be the event chosen by Apple to present AirPods 3.
