Apple will equip the iPhone 14 Pro with a 48-megapixel main camera. Previous information had already advanced it, but new sources confirm this optical specification.

This is further evidence that Apple may be thinking of making a major update for the next smartphone model that will also include significant design changes.

iPhone 14 Pro with 48-megapixel primary sensor

Apple recently released iOS 15.2.1 and iPadOS 15.2.1 update

New information, now coming from the company TrendForce, confirms a specification for the iPhone 14 Pro previously made by analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. It seems that Apple’s next smartphone model will even be equipped with a 48-megapixel primary sensor.

If confirmed, this is a fundamental change for the iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max, as both variants have a triple rear camera setup with three 12-megapixel sensors.

The rumor gains even more strength if we remember that Apple has been increasing the resolution of the sensors integrated in the iPhone, as well as betting on the “artillery” of the model with several functions dedicated to photography.

This information also suggests another very desirable specification that the iPhone 14 Pro can offer users. We refer to the ability to record 8K video. Now by increasing the resolution of the sensor, Apple may also increase the resolution of the video, which in current models is 4K.

Apple may also introduce a new design with the iPhone 14

We now believe that Apple will have a hole + pill design on the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max models. The smaller hole will not be invisible… The two hole concept will be exclusive to Apple, like the notch, not similar to all Huawei tablet models… Let’s see those new renders pic.twitter.com/Udt8cTKzPZ

But it seems that Apple is not only thinking about changing the hardware of the next smartphone. According to previously published information, the model could also arrive with a new design.

According to leaker Ross Young, the iPhone 14 may ditch the notch-shaped design to house the front camera and opt for two cutouts in the screen, which take up less display space, to house the sensors.

Once again, if the information is confirmed, this will be a significant change, since since 2017 Apple uses the notch-shaped design.

For the rest, it is also known that the Cupertino company will launch four new models: iPhone 14 with a 6.1-inch screen, iPhone 14 Pro also with 6.1 inches, iPhone 14 Max with 6.7 inches and iPhone 14 Max Pro with the same inches. like the previous variant (6.7″).
