Apple prepares the launch of its next line of high-end iPhone 14 smartphones. Tradition dictates that these be revealed in September, but when we get there, the secrets will be few.
The general lines of these products are already widely known, but now very important information is revealed. Through the Weibo social network, the battery capacities of all the elements of the iPhone 14 range were announced.
Apple prepares to increase batteries, except for the iPhone 14 Pro Max
Data later shared by user ShrimpApplePro reveals a trend towards an increase in the energy storage capacity of iPhone 14 batteries. However, the iPhone 14 Pro Max model will break this trend with a reduction in capacity.
Without further ado, these are the values indicated for the batteries of the next iPhone 14:
- iPhone 14- 3279mAh
- iPhone 14 maximum – 4325mAh
- iPhone 14 Pro- 3200mAh
- iPhone 14 Pro Max – 4323mAh
These figures, if confirmed, reveal an increase in capacity in the batteries of the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro. In comparison, the iPhone 13 came with a 3,227 mAh cell, while the iPhone 13 Pro has 3,095 mAh.
We do not have astronomical increases, but combined with more efficient processors, an increase in the autonomy of these equipment is expected. However, in the iPhone 14 Pro Max we saw a slight reduction in the battery from 4,352 mAh to 4,323 mAh.
Apple’s reasons for marginally reducing the battery capacity of the iPhone 14 Pro Max are not made clear. Despite this reduction, the user may not feel much difference in daily use compared to the expected higher efficiency of the upcoming A16 Bionic processor.
The only model that we cannot do a comparison exercise is the iPhone 14 Max. This model will be the first in the portfolio of the American company and, interestingly, it will have a slightly higher battery than the almighty iPhone 14 Pro Max.
It is important to emphasize that the advanced values are not official and must be taken into account with tweezers. Only after the presentation of the iPhone 14 range will we be able to assess the veracity of these predictions, especially since battery capacity is not usually one of Apple’s focuses when presenting its smartphones.
