Apple iPhone 14: Protective covers reveal the dimensions of the camera modules

Everything indicates that Apple will present its next line of tops in September, as usual. There we will meet four new devices that will make up the iPhone 14 family.

The design of these devices is a recurring topic in the news and today we have more information to share in this context. Strictly speaking, a set of protective cases designed for the four iPhone 14 models.

The images appeared on the Chinese social network Weibo and highlight the rear of the new team. Thus, we were able to confirm that the rear camera module of the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max will be considerable.

At issue is the first and third covers, from the left, in the image now shared on social media. There we see a portrait of the cases designed for the iPhone 14 Pro Max and iPhone 14 Pro, respectively.

As rumors point out, this space will be much larger than its direct predecessors, which means that the cases designed for the iPhone 13 Pro pair will not fit on the new devices.

The base models of the iPhone 14 line have a rear camera module with dimensions similar to their predecessors. Two lenses will be present in them, as we see in the current generation of Apple smartphones.

48 MP main sensor responsible for larger modules

What will make the modules of the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max grow will be the inclusion of a new 48 MP main lens. This sensor will naturally need more space to accommodate in the body of such products, requiring the presence of larger modules.

This new sensor will be a significant leap from the 12 MP sensors that Apple has used in its devices in recent years. A notable improvement in the results obtained is expected, in addition to allowing 8K video recording.

As for the base models, the photographic improvements will be felt with a new wide-angle sensor. Although it maintains the 12 MP resolution, the quality of the captured images is expected to improve thanks to the new sensor.
