The next generation of phones Apple be officially announced in September 2022. That said, we are at an early stage of product development, although its overall characteristics should already be defined by Cupertino’s technology.
Among these, we have a significant change that, by the way, has been requested by fans, the reduction of notch present on the top of the iPhone. Therefore, we now see one of the first potentially relevant leaks that shows us precisely this element updated for 2022.
Is this what the Apple iPhone 14 Pro really looks like?
According to the latest rumors, Apple will indeed reduce the size of the notch as much as possible. That is, the panel will continue to be perforated by the front camera. However, most of the sensors needed for the facial authentication mechanism, Face ID, could be integrated under the AMOLED screen.
Also, even in the last year we have seen some patents from Apple that suggested compressing and downsizing the components needed to make the scan 3D view of our face, a crucial step in the Face ID system, which allows reducing notch is still present in the Apple iPhone 13.
Keep in mind, however, that we are in the realm of speculation for now, although a similar approach is likely as the rumors are advancing. There is, at the same time, a thesis that defends the implementation of the front camera under the AMOLED screen itself, as Samsung did in its latest high-end folding smartphone, the Galaxy Z Fold 3.
In September 2022 we will meet the next generation of Apple iPhone
Among the most recently proposed hypotheses is that of notch tablet, a small cylinder, with room only for the camera, as well as some of the main sensors for the Face ID system.
We would thus have one of the biggest visual changes in recent years to offer iOS phones, although it is important to emphasize that, once again, nothing is defined for the moment. These are information leaks whose veracity cannot be authenticated.
On the other hand, we have also seen some rumors that support this thesis, while others defend the implementation of all the components currently present in the notch that is already below the screen. Something that could free the entire front panel.
In summary, so far we have seen different rumors and some leaks of doubtful authenticity that point to a strong reduction of the notch. In other words, this is the point of agreement between different sources so far.
