Apple iPhone 13 Pro stands out positively in DxOMark’s battery test

The DxO entity, responsible for the classification DxOMark, popularized by its extensive tests on cameras and photographic sensors also applied to smartphones, began last May to determine the performance and autonomy of mobile phone batteries.

However, in its portfolio of tested equipment we already have the Apple iPhone 13 Pro, the current one flagship of the Cupertino giant, whose autonomy has now been praised by the entity in question. The DxOMark test results are extremely positive.

In fact, the iOS mobile phone managed to demonstrate not only a very reasonable autonomy: 76 point average – as well as optimal energy efficiency – 106 points – during the series of tests of use of the iPhone 13 Pro device.

The results obtained are excellent in the segment cousin, in the group of phones that cost more than $ 800 on average, occupying the third place among the smartphones with the best autonomy, with the Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max leading the ranking.

On the other hand, compared to the world ranking, the iPhone 13 Pro is ranked 24th among the smartphones with the best battery life. We recall that, currently, the OPPO Reno 6 5G is the mobile with the best autonomy, along with the Realme GT Neo 2 5G, a device that ran out of second place.

We also remind you that the Apple iPhone 13 Pro has a battery of 3,095 mAh capacity, with 23W charging and wireless charging, MagSafe, with a maximum power of 15W.

That is, the iPhone 13 Pro, despite having a lower capacity battery than the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra (5,000 mAh), as well as the OnePlus 9 Pro (4,500 mAh), managed to exceed the results obtained by both Android rivals.

The Apple iPhone 13 Pro reached 77 hours of light use

The average autonomy of the iPhone 13 in a light-use scenario reached 77 hours. On the other hand, in scenarios of moderate use -typical scenario- the autonomy achieved was 53 hours.

Finally, in intense use scenarios, the autonomy value obtained was reduced to 33 hours, which still represents more than a day of solid use.

In short, it is in energy optimization where Apple continues to stand out from the competition. Even with smaller capacity batteries, thanks to proprietary processors and software optimization, the values obtained are very good to excellent.
