fall special event appleentitled “away ort”, introduced us to the new apple watch series 8, AirPods Pro 2as well as the new Apple iPhone 14 Y Apple iPhone 14. Unsurprisingly, the Cupertino giant has just discontinued several products, including some of its best iOS smartphones.
Several older iPhone models are up for grabs, such as the iPhone 12 Mini, a model that has been completely removed from Apple’s current portfolio. In its place, yesterday (7) we met the iPhone 14 Plus model with a 6.7-inch screen, definitively replacing the compact smartphone with a 5.4-inch screen.
It’s the end of the line for the Apple iPhone 13 Pro and not just…

As happens every year, the Cupertino company withdraws several of its products from stores before they lose significant value. This helps keep the price of iPhones high, even in the second-hand market, reducing the devaluation of the product, in which Cupertino technology is light years ahead of the competition.
In fact, Tim Cook’s company officially announced the discontinuation of the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro Max, the company’s launches in 2021. This range has brought serious improvements such as the introduction of LTPO AMOLED screens up to 120 Hz, with frequency of variable upgrade, a new triple 12MP camera array on the rear, more battery life, etc.
Cupertino Tech withdraws several products from its official store

At the same time, Tim Cook’s company also discontinued the iPhone 11 model, introduced in September 2019. This was the first iOS smartphone with a dual camera on the back, in addition to 4 GB of RAM, charging at 18 W and more. .
Finally, the American technology company also withdrew the iPhone 12 Mini model from stores. This was the first Mini model to hit the market, already equipped with support for 5G mobile networks, with a 4.7-inch OLED screen and a very compact format.
This year we did not have a new Mini model, nor is it likely that this formula will be recovered in the near future. The plausible exception would be a new compact SE model, if there is market interest in this type of small phone.
So, right now, this is Apple’s portfolio as of September 2022:
- iPhone SE 3rd generation (2022)
- iPhone 12
- iPhone 13 Mini
- iPhone 13
- iPhone 14
- iPhone 14 plus
- iPhone 14 Pro
- iPhone 14 ProMax
Finally, it is important to note that the models now discontinued by the brand will continue to be sold in physical stores while stocks last. In addition, all devices continue to receive software updates, meaning they are entitled to updates and official support throughout their respective lifetimes.
