The information is advanced by the dylandkt leaker, on his Twitter account, who also says what are the crucial specifications that will be integrated into the model.
So the new iPad is expected to have support for 5G communications, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 6 and the A14 Bionic chip. As we can see, Apple is committed to a continuity strategy, although the specifications are updated in this model.
We can also count on the well-known 10.2-inch Retina display with a resolution of 210 x 1620 pixels. The same source also mentions that Apple will keep the Lightning port, which suggests that this iPad offers the same charging speed as the previous model.
Optimized performance on iPad 10th generation
But let’s go back to the A14 Bionic chip that will be at the controls of the new tablet. Apparently, the 10th generation iPad will offer optimized performance compared to the previous model; more specifically, there is talk of an improvement of the order of 20%.
All thanks to the A14 Bionic chip that is based on the 5nm process and integrates 11.8 billion transistors, almost 40% more than its predecessor A13 Bionic, included in currently available ninth-generation iPads.
The new iPad Air arrives in the first half of 2022
