YouTuber Apoorva Mukherjee, known as The Rebel Kid, recently stirred up controversy after appearing on “India’s Got Latent.” The show, which featured guest Ranveer Allahbadia, took a turn when he asked a contestant a questionable question. Apoorva was part of the discussion and made some comments that didn’t sit well with viewers.

The backlash was intense, with many criticizing Apoorva’s remarks. She eventually apologized and deleted her old content before returning to Instagram. Recently, she shared a photo that hinted at her moving out of her Mumbai apartment. The picture showed a dimly lit home with cardboard boxes and cleaning supplies. Apoorva captioned it, “End of an era.”

Apoorva Faces Backlash

Apoorva revealed on social media that she received numerous death threats and rape threats online following the controversy. She said, “I started reading my DMs, and they all indicated people wanted to rape me, throw acid, and do such things.” When she went to the police to file a statement, the paparazzi’s behavior was “inhumane,” she said, adding that she cried a lot.

Media Treatment Criticized

Apoorva felt the media treated her unfairly. She said, “I’m the one who deserves this because I did it. My parents didn’t deserve it.”

Apoorva’s Apology

While apologizing, Apoorva said, “I’ve hurt a lot of people, and honestly, this is the last thing I want to do. I make content to entertain people and make them laugh. I never wanted to hurt anyone, and I’m truly, truly sorry. I should have been more careful with my words, but I’ve learned my lesson, and I promise to do better in the future. I just hope you’ll forgive me, and if I’ve hurt your feelings, I’m sorry.”
