Punjab recently faced devastating floods. Homes and lives were turned upside down by the severe waters. Yet, amidst the heartache, many beloved entertainers are stepping up. They are using their fame to help those hit hardest by the disaster.
Among these kind-hearted stars is Punjabi music sensation AP Dhillon. He didn’t just send money. He went directly to meet families whose homes were ruined. Dhillon wanted to see their struggles for himself. He talked with many people who had lost everything they owned.
One meeting especially touched the singer’s heart. He sat with an elderly woman, listening intently to her words. She shared a difficult story of loss and hardship. But even after all she had been through, a brave smile remained on her face. Her strong spirit moved Dhillon deeply.
Tears welled up in Dhillon’s eyes as he listened to her speak. He was clearly overcome with emotion. He told her in Punjabi, “You have a very brave heart, Biji.” The woman, still managing a smile, replied, “You can only survive by being brave, my son.” A video of this touching exchange quickly spread online.
AP Dhillon is not stopping at just visiting. He has teamed up with the NGO ‘Initiators of Change’. Their goal is to help rebuild homes for flood victims. His close friend and fellow artist, Shinda Kahlon, joined him in this mission. Shinda met victims in Ludhiana, promising his full support as well.
Dhillon also praised all the unsung heroes working on the ground. He shared a group photo on his Instagram story. His caption read, “All the people working on the ground are the real heroes.” This message showed his deep respect for everyone lending a hand.
