Anurag Basu’s upcoming film “Metro In Dino” held a music launch event, where the cast, including Pankaj Tripathi, Sara Ali Khan, Konkana Sen, Ali Fazal, and Fatima Sana Shaikh, were in attendance. Music composer Pritam was also present.
The event was hosted by Anurag Basu in Mumbai. The film’s first song, “Zamaana Lage,” was released, sung by Arijit Singh and Shashwat Singh.
Pritam revealed that Anurag Basu takes charge of the lyrics for his films. Producer Bhushan Kumar is passionate about his work. Anurag Basu shared that working with Pritam is a unique experience.
Konkona Sen remembered her co-star Irrfan Khan from the film “Life in a Metro.” Anurag Basu got emotional, recalling that he cried during the shoot of a scene similar to one from the previous film.
The film features 12 songs, with modernized poetry. The team has included some old ghazals in a new style.
The cast shared their experiences. Aditya Roy Kapur said he can’t wait to hear all the songs. Sara Ali Khan expressed her gratitude to Anurag Basu and Pritam for the opportunity.
Fatima Sana Shaikh joked about breaking vases but not heads. Konkona Sen said working with Pankaj Tripathi was a great experience. Pankaj Tripathi thanked Anurag Basu for the role.
When asked who they took time to forget, the cast gave varied responses. Aditya Roy Kapur said he took time to forget his pets. Fatima Sana Shaikh said she never lost anyone, so she didn’t have to forget. Sara Ali Khan said she forgot, but didn’t elaborate. Pankaj Tripathi joked about forgetting a bad film. Anupam Kher, who was also present, said he misses his father.
The event wrapped up with the cast and crew discussing their film and its music. The movie is set to release soon.
