Another athlete killed in Kenya while searching for Tirop’s husband and alleged killer

Kenyan athletics are in mourning again a few hours after the murder of Agnes Tirop became known, one of the great figures in the world, who was allegedly stabbed by her husband.

The Kenyan medium Tuko collects in its digital edition that the athlete Edith Muthoni, 27, was murdered on the night of October 12 presumably also in a domestic violence case. The athlete’s sister assures that Muthoni’s boyfriend snatched her mobile phone and, after checking it, ended the athlete’s life. Muthoni was a regular participant in athletics events in Kenya, where she excelled in the sprint disciplines of 200 and 400 meters.

Meanwhile the Kenyan police continue with the operation to catch Agnes Tirop’s husband, Emmanuel Rotich, who is charged as the alleged murderer of the athlete’s stabbing death.

Speaking to France Presse, Keiyo North Police Commander Tom Makori, analyzed how the search is going, while Rotich’s phone is also being traced. “We are getting closer to the murderer. The sooner he confesses what led him to commit that murder, the better for everyone. We have pressure to catch him.”
