Anonymous claims to have hacked into the Central Bank of Russia in support of Ukraine amid the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine. The Russian central bank refuted the news of a possible hacking attack. Anonymous does not stop and threatens to release more than 35,000 secret files.
Amid the Russian attack on Ukraine, the group of hackers has launched an operation called #OpRussia to digitally attack the country. Anonymous warns companies to withdraw from Russia if they do not want to be hacked.

European Central Bank President Christine Lagarde was deeply concerned that Russia is using cryptocurrencies to evade sanctions imposed. Lagarde said the Russians are converting rubles into cryptocurrencies and stablecoins. Christine also said they have witnessed the highest level of ruble volumes in stablecoins and crypto since 2021.
“There is no evidence that Russia or President Vladimir Putin are using cryptocurrencies to evade sanctions.” According to Jonathan Levin, co-founder of blockchain analytics company Chainalysis.
According to a report, Russia now wants to sell energy resources and oil and accept Bitcoin as a means of payment. Earlier, reports emerged that Anonymous had attacked more than 300 Russians, of which they stole about RUB 1 billion. The hackers offered Russian soldiers to surrender their tanks in exchange for more than $52,000 worth of Bitcoin.
