Anomalies detected in Agriculture in the period 2013-2015

The Chamber of Accounts published yesterday the audit applied to the financial information included in the budget execution statements of the department of agriculturefor the period between January 1, 2013 and December 31, 2015.

The findings indicate that income obtained in cash for import permits from January 10, 2013 to April 23, 2014, for a value of RD$27,373,995 were not deposited in an account of the Ministryor, not in the Single Treasury account, but delivered to the payroll department.

It was also confirmed that the entity made auctions during 2013, for a total amount of RD$145.1 millionfiles that total the value of RD$96.7 million, of which, There was no evidence of the deposit of these resources received by the Agribusiness Exchange of the Dominican Republic (BARD) and transferred to the Customs Collector.

Among other findings detected are: absence of supports in the payment records for the amount of RD$1,928,458,043, It was not possible to review the Personal Services payroll for the 2013 period, for an amount of RD$1,773,032,102., because they were not provided, because the entity could not extract it from the SASP system.
