Anker Launches Nebula X1 4K Outdoor Projector with Advanced AI Features

Nebula, a brand specializing in projectors and entertainment devices under Anker, has just launched the Nebula X1, a 4K smart outdoor projector that’s like having a cinema in your backyard. This projector can display sharp images, complete with surround sound and AI-driven smarts.

The Nebula X1 is designed to perform well in outdoor settings, boasting a brightness of 3,500 ANSI lumens. Its 4K UHD resolution delivers crisp visuals, enhanced by Dolby Vision for improved color and contrast. The projector uses a triple laser RGB system, achieving a native contrast ratio of 5,000:1 and supporting Rec. 2020 color standards.

One of the X1’s key features is its optical zoom, allowing it to project images up to 200 inches from a distance of 13 to 22 feet without compromising quality. It can even go larger, up to 300 inches. The projector is also equipped with a micro-gimbal that automatically adjusts the image tilt by up to 25 degrees to find the optimal viewing position on screens or walls up to 30 meters high.

AI-Driven Features

The Nebula X1 is powered by AI through its Spatial Adaptation technology, which includes several innovative features. These include automatic focus, keystone correction, obstacle avoidance, and screen adjustment. The projector can also automatically zoom in and out and adjust the image based on the ambient light and the surface it’s being projected onto.

Immersive Sound Experience

The X1 doesn’t just stop at visuals; it also packs a punch when it comes to sound. It comes with four built-in speakers – two 15-watt and two 5-watt speakers. You can also pair it with two additional WiFi speakers, which are lossless and offer a total of 160 watts of sound. These speakers are designed to be dust and rain-resistant, with an IP54 rating, and can run for up to 8 hours on a single charge. When configured correctly, the system can deliver a 4.1.2 surround sound experience.

Design and Connectivity

A standout feature of the Nebula X1 is its compact design, made possible by its liquid cooling system – a first for projectors. This not only keeps the device cool but also reduces noise to just 26 decibels. The projector supports up to two wireless microphones for karaoke and comes with Google TV, allowing for seamless streaming from services like Netflix, Hulu, and Prime Video.

Pricing and Availability

The Nebula X1 is available starting May 21, priced at $2,999. For an additional $299, you can get a bundle that includes two microphones, a pair of satellite speakers, and a carrying case.
