Anitta’s Xingu Body Paint Goes Viral; Fans React to Her Buttocks.

Brazilian superstar Anitta recently had a truly special experience, participating in a Kuarup ceremony in the Xingu Indigenous Territory. During this traditional event, members of the Kuikuro community honored the 32-year-old singer with intricate body painting. They carefully applied red bands to her legs, painted her face, and created complex designs from head to toe. While her involvement in this significant cultural ritual certainly captivated many, it was her shapely backside that set off endless online discussions.

A viral video clip, shared on Saturday, August 16, showed the pop icon, whose real name is Larissa de Macedo Machado, in a strapless brown thong bodysuit and laced sandals. Fans couldn’t stop replaying the video, which quickly became a trending topic across social media.

Anitta’s visit was not just a personal journey. It was also part of a segment filmed with Brazilian television host Luciano Huck. Beyond the viral moments, many fans and commentators were deeply moved by her genuine cultural involvement in the ritual. This sparked a conversation about cultural expression. One social media user responded to critics, saying, “I think it’s worth redefining the use of traditional attire in carnival.” They continued, “Instead of seeing it as ‘cultural appropriation,’ we can see it as a celebration and a way to keep these references alive and valued.”

Anitta herself posted videos and photos from her visit. These posts were a powerful demonstration of her connection and respect for the spiritual meaning behind the ceremony. This ancient ritual honors the deceased and celebrates life.

Luciano Huck, 53, also shared his thoughts on Instagram. He posted about Anitta’s participation and reflected on his own experience. “In the last few days, we have had the honor and privilege of being received by the Kuikuro and Kayapó peoples in the Xingu Indigenous Park,” Huck wrote. He also shared about a “moving conversation with Chief Raoni, Brazil’s greatest indigenous leader and a global symbol of Amazonian resistance and a defender of its native peoples.” Huck continued, “We also had the privilege of witnessing the Kuarup, the Xingu people’s most important ritual.” He clarified its meaning, stating, “More than a tribute to the dead, it’s a celebration of life, ancestry, and a deep connection to the forest.” Anitta concluded her own message about the ceremony with a powerful statement: “Long live the indigenous peoples of Brazil, their culture, their way of life, and their ancestry!”
