Andy Otero and Raúl Valdés will not be in the box tonight

Andy Otero, from the Estrellas Orientales, and Raúl Valdés, from the Gigantes del Cibao, have been excluded from their presentations as starting pitchers in this Monday night’s games on the sixth day of the Round Robin of the winter fall baseball tournament.

Otero was diagnosed with covid-19 and was scheduled to start the game for the Eastern Stars against the Tigres del Licey at the Quisqueya Juan Marichal stadium. He was replaced by right-hander Luis Medina.

Valdés, on his side, was the initiator designated by the Gigantes del Cibao to face the Águilas Cibaeñas at the Cibao stadium in Santiago de los Caballeros, but was withdrawn due to stomach problems. Manager Luis Urrueta announced that his place will be taken by Andrew Case.

The Giants lead the All Against All with a record of 4-1, while Estrellas, Águilas and Tigres are tied with a 2-3 record.
