Android Auto Bug Prevents Audio Control in Certain Apps

Android Auto users are facing a frustrating issue – they can’t adjust the audio controls in certain music apps. This problem has been reported before, but it’s back.

The issue affects apps like YouTube Music. Users can’t change the volume when playing music from these apps in their cars. To fix this, they have to switch to a different app, adjust the volume, and then go back to the music app.

This problem isn’t limited to certain car brands. Although some people thought it only happened with Toyota cars, it’s been seen in other brands too.

A Temporary Fix

Some users try to fix the problem by reverting to an older version of Android Auto. But this doesn’t seem to work. For now, the only solution is to use the workaround – switch to another app to adjust the volume.

It’s not clear if Google will fix this issue. Despite user reports, no official solution has been offered. The problem disappeared for a while but came back, suggesting that Google might be trying to resolve it.
