Apparently, Google’s next operating system, Android 13, not only brings news to users. This time, the search giant also has at least one surprise in store for developers.

Now a system has been discovered in the code of the new operating system that allows programmers to test their applications on slower Internet connections, since it allows limiting the speed of the connection, whether it is on Wi-Fi, 4G or 5G.

For now, developers can already test on slower connections through Android Studio. But now it seems that Google wants to integrate a feature in the new operating system that eliminates the need to use this tool.

In practice, it means that developers can test the use of applications directly in the new operating system, reducing the connection speed to the mobile network and thus having results that are closer to the real environment.

This is an unexpected feature that is very welcome by developers who, from now on, can adapt and/or adjust their applications to different situations and present a more effective end result for all users.

More new features of Android 13 aimed at users

However, other new features have also been revealed recently, but more aimed at users. It is now known that Android 13 may include a new system for monitoring the power consumption of applications.

According to the information released, this function will alert the user whenever an application consumes too much energy in a period of 24 hours, the alert appears once a day and, if ignored, it appears again the next day.

If the user interrupts the action that is excessively consuming the battery, the alert is dismissed, appearing again if another application exceeds the power consumption.

Apparently, with Android 13 it will also be possible to configure stronger vibrations for any type of alarm, be it a reminder or the alarm clock, and softer vibrations if it is only an incoming message notification.
