Biggest expectation of MCU phase 4, Spider-Man: No Way Home will arrive in our cinemas for the December 17, 2021. Arriving after the official opening of the multiverse thanks to Loki, No Way Home will bring back many of the iconic villains from previous Spider-Man sagas. In particular, the presence of the Doctor Octopus (Alfred Molina), the Green Goblin (Willem Dafoe?), Electro (Jamie Foxx) and the less obvious ones of Sandman (Thomas Haden Church) and the Lizard (Rhys Ifans).
But the suspense remains as to the participations of Tobey Maguire (the Spider-Man of the Raimi franchise) and Andrew Garfield (Spider-Man from the Webb franchise). Many fans seem convinced of their appearances, even in the absence of formal evidence.
Andrew Garfield came out of the silence with Variety by ensuring that he felt condemned to formally deny his presence, until a possible trailer or even until the release of the film:
“I understand why people are panicking about the concept. You can’t help but imagine scenes and moments like “Oh my god, how cool it would be if they did that”. But it is important for me to officially say that this is not something that I am aware that I am involved in. But I know I couldn’t say anything that will convince anything that I don’t know what’s going on. No matter what I say, am I screwed? Either it’s going to be disappointing for people, or it’s going to be really exciting ”
A way for the 38-year-old actor to kick in touch, without really answering the question. Does that mean he will be in No Way Home? Only the future will tell.
