The Brazilian Ronaldo, former striker and current president of Cruzeiro, confirmed on Tuesday the hiring of the Argentine Andrés D’Alessandro for the position of soccer coordinator.
“D’Alessandro is confirmed. He has an incredible history in Brazilian soccer and starting Thursday he will be our soccer coordinator,” Ronaldo announced in a broadcast he made on his Twitch channel.
“He is a person with a fantastic history in football, he is young and has a lot of will. I am convinced that he will give us many results in the long term. Welcome, D’Alessandro”, added the “Fenómeno”, who also leads Real Valladolid from Spain.
The version of the arrival of “Cabezón” D’Alessandro to Cruzeiro had been around since last week, but in the last few hours it was confirmed by Ronaldo himself, majority shareholder of the limited company that manages the Belo Horizonte club.
This will be D’Alessandro’s first job at a club after his retirement from professional football in April 2022, at the age of 41, with the Internacional de Porto Alegre jersey.
