Ander Mirambell takes the podium at the Copa América

Ander Mirambell, Spanish skeleton rider, has climbed to the third step of the podium at the Whistler circuit, Canada, in the second round of the Copa América.

With this result, Mirambell becomes one of the few drivers to have been on the podium at all American circuits.

The Spanish rider has signed a time of 1: 48.03 in the accumulated of the two descents, barely seven tenths of the victory and leaves good feelings for the objective of qualifying for the Olympic Games.

“The race was magical, very tight. I got the podium thanks to the top speed of the second descent, which was the highest of all the participants (139.2 km / h), thanks to a very clean handling. The truth is that we are working well in this regard and we only need to improve one more point at the start, “Mirambell said in a statement.
