Ana Peleteiro sets a return date: “My time has come”

“Finally the time has come, my time,” Ana Peleteiro begins by writing on her Instagram. LThe 27-year-old Galician has chosen social networks to set the date for her return to competition after having fulfilled her dream of being a mother. “After 15 months off the slopes, and 5 months after fulfilling myself as a mother… I am back on the road. See you next June 14 at the Castellón International Meeting”, keep going. And she adds: “And this time stronger, more mature and with more desire than ever.”

The bronze medalist at the Tokyo Olympics will return to the pit more than a year after her last competition, the World Indoor Championships in Belgrade where she was eighth. The Spanish, who has a personal best of 14.87, aims to know her fitness thinking about the event of the season, the outdoor World Cups in Budapest, from August 19 to 27, although her main objective is the Games of Paris in 2024. The jumper, who trains with Iván Pedroso, must jump up to 14.52 if she wants to attend the Hungarian contest or, at least, be above 14.25 (RFEA minimum) and be within the quota of 36 women who qualify through World Ranking.
