Ana Patricia Gámez Divorce Turns Nasty: Ex-Husband Claims Infidelity, Demands Support

The legal battle between Ana Patricia Gámez and Luis Carlos Martínez is intensifying. Their divorce proceedings, initiated by Gámez in Miami Family Court, have taken a contentious turn. Martínez has responded with new accusations and significant counter-demands.

Gámez initially filed, stating the marriage was “irremediably dissolved.” She sought an unequal distribution of marital assets, claiming she contributed more financially. This included exclusive control of Beashion Boutique, her primary income source since leaving Univision.

However, Luis Carlos Martínez has filed his own response. The brother of “Despierta América” host Karla Martínez alleges “improper conduct” by Gámez. He also seeks specific assets and financial support.

Martínez demands ownership of the shared marital home. He also requests a portion of the profits from Gámez’s Beashion Boutique. Furthermore, he has asked for spousal support from Gámez, both during and after the divorce trial.

While Martínez agrees on child support for their two children, he rejects Gámez’s bid for unequal asset distribution. He argues that he contributed to her growth during their marriage.

Martínez’s filings include a stern warning regarding potential infidelity. He demands compensation if it is proven Gámez spent marital funds on third parties due to an extramarital relationship. Judicial documents state, “Consider any marital misconduct (and extramarital relationship) of the wife and, if it is determined that it has diminished any part of the marital assets, then issue a resolution that grants the husband a greater and less equitable compensatory distribution of the marital estate.”

The conflict also extended to their children. Gámez filed an emergency motion after Martínez initially refused to sign permission for the children to travel to Mexico for Christmas.

Martínez eventually signed the travel permit this past week. His conditions included Gámez ensuring the children are locatable by phone, establishing fixed travel dates, and prohibiting her from sharing photos of them on social media.

The couple was together for over a decade. They met at a family gathering and were engaged in Verona, Italy. Their wedding took place on May 31, 2013, in Guadalajara.

For years, they were considered one of the most stable couples in Latin entertainment. They even renewed their vows in a symbolic ceremony for their tenth anniversary in 2023. However, rumors of their separation began months later when Gámez stopped wearing her wedding ring and avoided public appearances with her husband.

This protracted legal dispute now involves not only their children but also significant businesses and financial assets. The couple faces a challenging division of their shared estate.
