An official signed an agreement with a country that doesn’t exist and was fired

A Paraguayan official was fired after signing a bilateral document with the United States of Kailasa, a country that doesn’t actually exist.

Arnaldo Chamorro was chief of staff of the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock, but had to resign due to the signing of this cooperation agreement.

The document committed the government of Paraguay to explore and seek the establishment of diplomatic relations with that country.

However, this area has not really been recognized by the international community.

The truth is that Kailasa has had a lot to talk about in recent months as several of his representatives inexplicably managed to attend two UN debates.

However, Chamorro was not the only one who signed the documents, as the representatives of two other communities would have done the same with the authorities of this supposed country.

In an interview with a local radio station, this former official admitted that he really does not know where the country with which he signed this bilateral agreement is.

“They came and expressed their intention to help Paraguay, they brought with them several agricultural aid projects, they came to offer their help, we listened to them and that was it,” Chamorro said.

The Paraguayan Ministry of Agriculture said in a statement that its official had been fired and that the documents he had signed had “no validity” because he had not complied with legal requirements.

How did this country come about?

The history of Kailasa is associated with the self-proclaimed Hindu guru Nithyananda Paramashivam, who claims to have founded this country in 2019.

This 45-year-old man has assured that his country is in the Pacific and is an island that he supposedly bought from Ecuador.

“Kailasa is the rebirth of the ancient nation of enlightened Hindu civilization, revived by displaced Hindus from around the world,” the official website says.

The official website states that Kailasa has a flag, a constitution, a central bank, a passport and a national emblem.

In addition, it received this name in honor of a Himalayan mountain that is considered the abode of the Hindu god Shiva.

The representatives of this alleged nation have traveled around the world and signed agreements with representatives of various countries.

However, it is unknown whether these documents are valid as Kailasa is not officially recognized by the international community.

According to the BBC, Nithyananda also founded a Hindu meditation and education center in Bidadi in 2003.

But his name was linked to several scandals after a student reported him for rape in 2010 and was released on bail. He was also charged with kidnapping and confining children.

The truth is that this spiritual leader left India in 2019 and it is not known how and where he currently lives.
