Famous influencer Ruby Franke, who ran a popular YouTube show about parenting advice, has pleaded guilty after being accused of child molestation. The woman admitted four of the six child abuse charges against her.
The police found two minors with them Signs of malnutrition and also remains that suggested they may have been gagged and the “Youtuber Mom” was arrested.
“Over an extended period of time, Ms. Hildebrandt systematically isolated Ruby Franke from her extended family, her adult children, and her husband, Kevin Franke,” the attorneys said in a statement. “This long isolation left Ms. Franke exposed to distorted morals.”
According to the BBC, the influencer’s 12-year-old son told agents that Hildebrandt had ropes tied to his ankles and wrists before he ran away from home in August. The boy had to be taken to the hospital “due to his deep cuts from being tied with a rope and his malnutrition,” authorities said at the time.
Franke’s lawyer blamed Jodi Hildebrandt, his former business partner, claiming she “misled” the woman. The influencer had more than two million subscribers.
