The Dutch driver Dilano Van t’Hoff, who was competing in the European Regional Formula Championship, died this Saturday at the age of eighteen in an accident on the Spa-Francorchamps circuit.
The event took place in a European Regional Formula race prior to the 24 Hours of Spa.
According to the Belgian news agency, the accident occurred around 10:00 am (8:00 GMT), when a chain collision occurred.
Van t’Hoff’s car was left in the middle of the track and another car crashed into it.
Dilano Van t’Hoff had been Spanish Formula 4 champion in 2020.
On the starting grid of the 24 Hours of Spa, a minute’s silence will be held in honor of the driver.
