Amy Adams joins Apple TV’s Cape Fear with Javier Bardem

Amy Adams, an Oscar and Emmy nominee, is set to join the cast of the Apple TV series ‘Cape Fear’. She will play a main role in the story and will also serve as an executive producer. The series is produced by prominent figures in the film industry, including Martin Scorsese, Steven Spielberg, and Javier Bardem, who will also star as the protagonist.

The story follows the character of Max Cady, a murderer played by Javier Bardem, who leaves prison and affects the lives of a couple of lawyers, Anna and Tom Bowden, played by Amy Adams. The series is a Hitchcockian thriller composed of 10 episodes, inspired by the novel ‘The Executioners’.

The creator of the series, Nick Antosca, will serve as an executive producer along with Alex Hedlund from Eat the Cat, and Darryl Frank and Justin Falvey, who will produce with Spielberg for Amblin Television. The series is produced through the General Agreement of ANTOSCA in the UCP, where it has resided since 2017, according to Apple TV.

Amy Adams’ Role in ‘Cape Fear’

In ‘Cape Fear’, Amy Adams will play the role of Anna, a lawyer who is married to Tom Bowden. Their marriage begins to suffer when Max Cady, a murderer from their past, leaves prison. The series explores the thriller genre, inspired by the novel ‘The Executioners’, and will consist of 10 episodes.

Spielberg, who produced the 1991 film, will produce the series along with Scorsese. The series takes place and is produced through the General Agreement of ANTOSCA in the UCP, where it has resided since 2017, Apple TV said.
