“We also condemn the large-scale, indiscriminate violence by settlers against Palestinian civilians in the aftermath of the killings,” Ned Price added. According to the spokesman, a Palestinian man was killed and 300 injured in the attack by Israeli settlers, in which buildings and cars were also set on fire. “These acts are totally unacceptable,” Price said.

He said Washington had appreciated the calls made by Benyamin Netanyahu and Isaac Herzog, respectively Prime Minister and President of Israel, who demanded an end to all violence by self-proclaimed vigilantes. “We expect the Israeli government to ensure that those responsible for these attacks are held fully accountable and brought to justice,” he added.
