The US has decided to provide missiles to strengthen its ally Taiwan militarily during the tension between Taiwan and China.
The US has approved more arms sales to Taiwan, including $619 million worth of ammunition for F-16 fighter jets.
As a result of this decision, a new conflict may arise between the US and China, while the tension between Taiwan and China is likely to increase.
The State Department said in a statement that it had approved the sale of missiles used in F-16 aircraft, as well as equipment to support the missiles.
It also includes air-to-air missiles and launchers along with the AGM-88 anti-radiation missile.
Taiwan is unofficially supported by the US and has a fleet of US-purchased F-16 fighter jets, a source of tension between China and the US.
