America welcomes the announcement of elections in Pakistan

Washington: The United States has welcomed the announcement of elections in Pakistan, US Deputy Assistant Secretary Elizabeth Horst has said that the announcement of the elections is encouraging.

According to the details, US Deputy Assistant Secretary Elizabeth Horst while talking to Pakistani media in Washington said that the announcement of elections in Pakistan is encouraging, we are hopeful for holding free, fair and peaceful elections.

Elizabeth Horst said that there is a sustainable partnership between Pakistan and America, both countries have common interest in many issues, economy and climate change are major challenges for Pakistan. He said that the United States is concerned about the recent terrorist attacks and regrets the loss of life and property in them.

The US Deputy Assistant Secretary said that the US is the biggest buyer of Pakistani products, the trade was 9 billion dollars last year, the foreign direct investment from the US was 250 million dollars.

Elizabeth Horst also mentioned the US aid, she said that the US gave 215 million dollars to Pakistan for the rehabilitation of the flood victims.
