US State Department Spokesman Ned Price has said that we fully support Pakistan’s efforts to combat terrorism.
Speaking to the American news agency, Ned Price said that it is a reminder that the scourge of terrorism still exists, which continues to claim innocent lives in Pakistan and Afghanistan across the region.
Ned Price said that it is in the common interest of the United States and Pakistan that both countries ensure that terrorist groups do not become a threat to the security of the region.
Regarding the visit of US Special Representative for Afghanistan Thomas West to Pakistan, Ned Price said that the US is in constant contact with the Pakistani leadership and is discussing several important issues.
The spokesperson of the US State Department added that the purpose of Thomas West’s visit to Pakistan is to discuss common interests in Afghanistan. Thomas West is creating a plan to restore women’s rights in Afghanistan.
