The Italian ambassador to the Dominican Republic, Stefano Queirolo Palmas, made a tour this Tuesday of the facilities of the Domicem cement plantlocated in the municipality of Palenque, San Cristóbal province.
The diplomat was accompanied during his visit by the executives of the Italian-Dominican capital company.
The representatives of Dominicem explained to the Italian ambassador in the country the processes of quality, safety, sustainability and care for the environment carried out for the production of cement.
They also emphasized in social responsibility actions that the company has in the community of Sabana Grande de Palenque.
During the tour of the plant, the processes of production, packaging and distribution of cement were known, as well as the laboratory, a department that recently received an ISO 17025 quality accreditation.
According to a press release issued by the company, Adriano Brunetti, CEO of Domicem, received, in addition to the Italian dignitary, important authorities from San Cristobalamong them, Governor Pura Casilla, Senator Franklin Rodríguez, the Mayor of the Sabana Grande de Palenque City Council, Ángela Dipré and Councilor Carolina Wegmuller.
The diplomatic, legislative, governmental and municipal authorities met with the directors of the company about Domicem’s projects for this year for the benefit of the community.
In this sense, the leaders of San Cristóbal and Sabana Grande de Palenque they also made known their needs, programs and projects to the Italian Ambassador and the representatives of Domicem.
