It has been less than a month since crypto exchange FTX died and there is already talk of a film adaptation of the drama. Directors Joe and Anthony Russo, known for Avengers: Endgame, among others, would have been put in charge of the project by Amazon Studios. The series may be released at the beginning of 2023.

Series on FTX

Reportedly, eight episodes would be made. Naturally, these eight episodes are entirely devoted to the catastrophic demise of ftx and former CEO, Sam Bankman-Fried (SBF). The story of the series will be based on the stories of journalists and insiders at FTX and is written by David Weil.

Jennifer Salkethe head of Amazon Studios, was extremely excited about the new series and the collaboration with the team:

“We are excited to continue our great collaboration with the Russo brothers and David Weil with this fascinating story. I can’t imagine better partners to portray this multi-faceted story.”

‘One of the worst fraud cases ever’

According to the Russo brothers, the FTX drama is one of the worst fraud cases to ever happen. That is why she did not want to miss the opportunity to portray this.

“This is one of the most brutal fraud cases ever committed. The story crosses all layers of society with celebrities, politics, science, technology, crime, sex, drugs and the future of the financial sector. At the heart of the story is an extremely mysterious figure with complex and potentially dangerous motives. We want to understand this,” he said the Russo brothers.

Those looking forward to this series may not even have to wait very long. Amazon hopes that the series will be ready to show to the general public in the spring of 2023.
