Amazon tests a cheaper Prime membership

Amazon is making changes. The company is preparing several changes for 2023 and this week it has left some of them, such as the new subscription format Amazon Prime Lite at a lower price. Currently, this subscription has been launched only in India, but if it works well it could go live in other countries.

Prime Lite subscription is available for select customers in India at an annual price of Indian Rupees 999 (equivalent to €11.09). This membership will give access to free deliveries in two days, access to exclusive offers and promotions, and Prime Video with Ads (content can only be viewed on 2 devices: mobile or TV). The subscription price of Amazon went up last year and in India it went from 999 rupees a year to 1499 rupees a yearso this new model would make it possible to pay what was being paid a year ago for the subscription, they explain in the digital medium onlytech.

In Spain, the Amazon Prime subscription currently costs €4.99 per month or €49.99 per year.

Amazon Prime conditions already include Prime Lite

Amazon’s Prime Lite membership has already been added to your amazon prime terms and conditions page. In them you can read: «Membership Period Prime Lite Membership. Amazon may offer Prime Lite membership, at its discretion, for different terms and terms. The key membership terms under the Prime Lite membership are outlined below:

This subscription option removes many of the benefits that Amazon offers, but allows people who don’t use all of them to continue enjoying their subscription. For example, members of this subscription cannot access Prime Music, Prime Gaming, or Prime Reading.
