Amazon Announces Record-Breaking Prime Day 2024 Sales

Amazon has announced that Prime Day 2024 has been the largest in its history, registering record sales and items sold. The two-day discount event saw Prime members around the world saving billions on deals across all categories.

Record-Breaking Sales and Item Sales

According to Amazon, Prime Day 2024 was a huge success, thanks to the millions of Prime members around the world who turned to the e-commerce giant for fantastic deals. The company’s valued employees, delivery partners, and sellers around the world helped bring the event to life for customers.

Deals Across Categories

Prime members shopped deals in over 35 categories, including popular brands such as Sol de Janeiro, Apple, Dyson, and Ring, as well as small businesses including TruSkin, ALOHA, Blueland, and Native Pet. Independent sellers, the majority of which are small and medium-sized businesses, sold more than 200 million items during Prime Day.

Amazon Devices and Subscriptions

Users also took advantage of offers on Amazon devices, subscriptions for Amazon Music Unlimited, Kindle Unlimited, Audible, and grocery delivery from Amazon Fresh and Whole Foods Market, as well as food delivery from Grubhub+. Prime members in the US chose to consolidate their deliveries on millions of orders, saving approximately 10 million trips, which translates into an average reduction in carbon emissions.

Rufus and Amazon Inspire

Amazon’s new AI-powered conversational shopping assistant, Rufus, helped millions of customers shop Amazon’s vast selection quickly and easily. Additionally, millions of customers visited Amazon Inspire during Prime Day, an in-app shopping experience that gives customers a way to seamlessly discover products and purchase by exploring videos and images from other customers, influencers, and brands they love. Inspire can be accessed by tapping the Play icon at the bottom of the Amazon Shopping app.
