Amazon may be jumping into Blockchain gaming and NFTs world this year

Reportedly, Amazon is in the process of launching NFTs based on Blockchain-Gaming and Web3. Amazon users would therefore be able to play blockchain games directly on the Amazon platform, earning free NFTs.

May launch as early as April

It is worth mentioning that the new step is still being developed, but that everything is expected to be ready around April of this year. The fact that such a large company as Amazon jumps into this can be very good for crypto in general.

Originally, Amazon reportedly planned to launch an NFT in collaboration with 1 artist, but that plan has now evolved into something much bigger. At this point, it’s not immediately clear who in terms of staff is leading Amazon’s NFT initiative. Namely, the details about the new platform are still unfolding.

Possible big hit in one fell swoop

The company therefore believes that NFTs and blockchain will continue to make great strides in terms of growth. They want to respond to this while it is not too late. With Amazon’s number of users, it could theoretically become a big hit overnight. However, the latter is speculative and should therefore be taken with a grain of salt.

The move seems somewhat arbitrary, given that NFT sales have fallen significantly since their peak last year. Currently, OpenSea has the most popular NFT platform, with more than 2.5 million users worldwide.

While the company can still expect some criticism over the new move, they seem unconcerned about any controversies that may arise as a result of the company’s decision to enter the NFT market.
