Amazon is going to make a series of the fall of crypto exchange FTX

Amazon is going to make a series of the fall of crypto exchange FTX. Amazon won the rights to this after a fierce bidding war with Apple, Netflix and other Hollywood studios. The drama will be released as a limited series, according to a report from deadline.

The report claims that Amazon Studios will base the show on an upcoming book by author Michael Lewis. The writer is known for turning financial dramas into fiction. Some of his most famous books, ‘The Big Short’, ‘Moneyball’ and ‘The Blind Side’ were turned into successful films.

Amazon Studios in conversation with ‘Avengers’ directors

According to news site Deadline, Amazon Prime will release the series as an eight-part limited show. To make this possible, the studio is currently discussing the angle and direction of the show.

The report claims that directors Joe Russo and Anthony Russo (creators of the Avengers films) may lead the series. David Weill will write the show’s pilot. The studio has not yet released any further details about the project.

Deadline also writes that Apple was about to win the rights to the show. Apple was willing to pay a seven-figure sum for the rights, but eventually Amazon won the bid.

Amazon Prime could get a big boost from the FTX-based series. The drama has been all over the mainstream media platforms recently due to the huge amount of duped investors and the bizarre stories surrounding the company’s CEO named Sam Bankman-Fried.

The former FTX CEO also had good ties with US regulators. He also testified before the US Congress, donated millions to the Democratic Party and hired celebrities to promote the trading platform. In the end, it turned out that Bankman-Fried may have been running one of the largest pyramid schemes in the history of the financial industry.
