Online Shopping Trends in Spain
According to a recent report by the National Markets and Competition Commission (CNMC), online shopping is on the rise in Spain. The data collected for the second quarter of 2024 reveals that more than half of the Spanish population has made online purchases in the last six months.
E-commerce Market Leaders
The report highlights that Amazon is the undisputed leader of online shopping in Spain, with a significant lead over its competitors. Other popular online shopping platforms in Spain include AliExpress, Zalando, and eBay. Google Shopping also ranks as a choice for online shopping among Spaniards.
A closer look at the data shows that a large percentage of Spaniards chose Amazon for their online shopping needs, making it the platform where most Spaniards made their last purchase. Other websites and mobile applications, as well as AliExpress, also made the list.
Online Booking Trends
In addition to online shopping, the report also looked at online booking trends. According to the data, a significant percentage of Spaniards booked an organized trip online in the last twelve months, which includes flights, car rentals, and accommodations.
