Amanda Bynes: Tooth Gems, New Grill, and Ozempic Weight Loss Journey

Amanda Bynes is giving her fans an open look into her life, sharing personal updates directly from her social media. The former child star, known for films like She’s the Man, recently popped up online to show off a new piece of jewelry and explain its special meaning.

On Thursday, July 10, Bynes, 39, posted on her Instagram stories. She excitedly announced she had purchased a new dental grill. The actress mentioned the brand, IceGiants, saying their work was "amazing."

Bynes explained why she chose a grill instead of traditional tooth gems. "I can’t wear tooth gems because I have veneers," she told her followers. "They don’t stick to my teeth, so this is my way of having tooth gems." She finished her update with a thumbs-up, saying, "It’s pretty cool."

For many years, Bynes has largely stayed out of the public eye. She has faced some personal health challenges. However, the Amanda Show alum now uses social media now and then to share glimpses of her journey with her fans.

Just last month, Bynes also shared a significant health goal. She revealed plans to start using the weight loss medication Ozempic. Her aim is to lose 40 pounds.

On June 22, Bynes posted, "I’m starting Ozempic. So excited." She shared her current weight was 173 pounds. Her goal is to reach 130 pounds, which she said would be "amazing." She was very honest about her reasons, saying she wanted "to look better in paparazzi photos and not have my double chin show from weird angles." She also promised to keep her fans updated on her "Ozempic journey."

Ozempic is a brand name for semaglutide. This medicine was first created to help people with type 2 diabetes manage their blood sugar. Lately, doctors have also prescribed it to help individuals with overweight issues improve their health.

This isn’t the first time Bynes has shared her weight loss efforts. In a previous update shared some months ago, she posted a screenshot detailing her progress. "I lost 6 pounds! I’m 154 pounds now," she wrote. The image also showed she walked 6.60 miles, took 14,895 steps, and climbed 12 floors. It also noted she burned 481 out of a goal of 320 calories. A big red circle on the screen confirmed she hit her daily exercise goals.
