Jammu and Kashmir native Aly Goni is speaking out against Pakistan’s recent ceasefire violations. The television actor, who has been vocal about his concerns, took to social media to express his anxiety about the situation.
Aly Goni Reacts to Ceasefire Violation
Aly Goni lashed out at Pakistan on social media following the ceasefire violation. He posted on X, “Write it in Urdu, the illiterate army wouldn’t have understood it in English… ceasefire violation.” This sparked a strong reaction from trolls, but Aly remained firm in his stance. He responded, “People want to abuse me; please go on. I don’t care at all. I still want peace for my state, my family, and my country. That’s my opinion and won’t change.”
The situation escalated after India carried out Operation Sindoor, targeting terrorist launchpads in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK). On April 22, a terrorist attack in Pahalgam claimed 26 lives, prompting India’s response. Following this, Pakistan launched drone and missile attacks on military installations in Jammu, Pathankot, and Udhampur, heightening tensions.
Operation Sindoor and Its Aftermath
Aly Goni’s reaction came after India conducted Operation Sindoor. The operation was a response to the terrorist attack in Pahalgam. India’s actions targeted nine terrorist launchpads in Pakistan and PoK.
Aly Goni expressed his concern for his family’s safety on May 8. He wrote, “I’m outside India for shooting, and my family is in Jammu. I was very disturbed here… thank God everyone is safe. Thanks to our IAF.” In another emotional post, he shared pictures of his family and wrote, “I’m sleep-deprived and shattered, stuck outside India. My family in Jammu has been under attack since last night. My entire family, including kids and parents, is facing the terror of drones and unrest. Still, some people are comfortably glorifying this war from their homes. It’s not that easy for those living near the border. Thanks to our IAF and Indian Army. Praying for safety and peace.”
