Alvin Kamara, one of four individuals charged with assault in Las Vegas

Kamara’s lawyers issued a statement announcing that they will challenge the allegations.. The case will be moved from Las Vegas Justice Court to district court on March 2.

“The State has avoided a controversial preliminary hearing by charging Mr. Kamara. He intends to vigorously fight the allegations at trial, as he was defending himself and others at the time of the incident,” the statement read.

Although the case was open, Kamara played 15 games in the 2022 regular season and had 1,387 yards and four touchdowns from scrimmage after 280 offensive touches.

Darnell Greenethe man who accuses the four individuals of assault, sued Kamara in October 2022 for $10 million. According to the police report, Greene suffered serious injuries, including an orbital fracture in his right eye, after being repeatedly punched in the face by the Saints player.
