The air around Jardim Álvaro Vidal buzzed with fresh hopes as Alverca presented its team to the faithful. Club president José Miguel Albuquerque, leading the SAD, shared crucial news. He promised that the stadium would be ready for action. It will be officially licensed in time for their second Liga Betclic match. That big game is against Sp. Braga. New additions Sabit Abdulai and Sandro Lima were on hand for the occasion, adding to the excitement.

Albuquerque spoke openly about the changes needed. "This club needs a massive transformation," he stated. "That means fixing up our facilities. It means making all our departments more professional. And it means better working conditions for everyone." He highlighted improvements already made. "Our stadium looks completely different now," he noted. "The changing rooms are new. Our workspaces are much improved." But he stressed there’s more to do. Then, he addressed any whispers of doubt directly. "Contrary to what I’ve heard out there," he declared, "our stadium will get its license on time. We will host Braga right here at home."
Coach Custódio Castro also stepped up to speak. He used his time to send a message to the club’s supporters. Castro took a moment to remember Miguel Fonseca, a loyal fan who had passed away. "My very first words are for Miguel Fonseca," the coach began. He then reflected on his own past with the club. "I played here in the first division," he recalled. "Players and coaches move on, but the fans, they remain." He called them a vital source of strength for the team. "We must bring hard work and ambition every single day," Castro urged. "There’s only one way to make that happen." His closing words were a call for unity: "Together for our city, for our club, and for our fans. Fly Alverca!"
Alverca’s first challenge in the Liga Betclic is already set. They will face Moreirense on August 10th. The game is scheduled for 8:30 PM. It will take place in Moreira de Cónegos.
