Álvaro will be the star of the Ziganda project

Álvaro Fernández will return to Huesca to be the star of Ziganda’s second project. If last year the coach gave all the stripes to Andrés, this season they will go to the goalkeeper from La Rioja. Álvaro has experienced two consecutive assignments, one to Brentford in the Premier and another to Espanyol in the Primera. Neither of the two clubs have wanted to pay for the purchase option and the meta will return to El Alcoraz to feel important again.

Álvaro only has one more year on his contract with Huesca, but The Catalans do not want to lose another asset and will entrust their defensive security to the 25-year-old goalkeeper. This past season, a mistake of his against him, Valencia cost him his job and he lost all confidence in the parakeet team. In England he also had minutes but failed to convince the British team.

Huesca had valued it at three million euros. Half of what the Alto Aragonese would get would go to Monaco, which was the club that gave him the letter of freedom to sign with the Catalans. The people from Huesca will try to renew their contract to be able to make cash, but their priority is to replace Andrés with a goalkeeper with full guarantees such as Álvaro. Andrés received an offer to leave and Ángel Martín González explained at a press conference that the best substitute for him will be Álvaro, unless an offer arrives that cannot be rejected by Arnedo’s goalkeeper.
