Authorities reported that Vedika Shetty is accused of defrauding Alia Bhatt of 77 lakhs. This includes money from the actress’s personal accounts and her production house. The Juhu Police department registered the case and is actively investigating. As of now, neither Alia Bhatt nor her team have released an official statement regarding the situation.
This dramatic development follows a complaint filed by Alia’s mother, Soni Razdan, several months ago. Police arrested the accused in Bengaluru after a five-month search. Vedika Shetty is accused of faking Alia’s signature to steal funds over a two-year period.

The alleged fraud extends to ‘Eternal Sunshine Productions Private Limited.’ This is Alia Bhatt’s own production company, which she started in 2021. Its first big success was the film ‘Darlings.’ That movie was co-produced with Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment. Alia Bhatt, Vijay Varma, and Shefali Shah starred in the film. It was released on Netflix and received good reviews from viewers.
Vedika Shetty held a position of considerable trust. She managed both the actress’s personal life and her production house duties. Police claim she used this power to improperly move money from Alia’s accounts. Investigations are ongoing, and police hint that more details might emerge.
