Amazon is adding a function of adaptable volume for your smart Echo speakers.
This will allow users to hear what Alexa is saying, even when the environment is very noisy, which is a very common problem.
When adaptive volume is activated, Alexa will detect the volume of the environment and respond with a higher volume if necessary. Noise can come from any source, such as a vacuum cleaner, music from another speaker, or people talking nearby.
Thanks to this feature, you won’t have to constantly turn the volume up and down on Alexa to hear what she has to say.
For now, the feature is only available in the US, but I hope it will be released in other countries at some point.
Another cool feature that’s been around for a while, but you might not be familiar with, is Whisper mode. With this mode turned on, Alexa will respond softly when you whisper to her, making it less annoying if someone is trying to sleep or you want to ask a question in private.
